lol, I feel famous.

Dustin posted a link in his journal to something he got off boing-boing.net (yeah, I know, sounds perverted) this morning. The story is about a high school in Wisconsin that apparently, President Bush spoke at yesterday and the principal said that if anyone were to wear pro-Kerry stuff, they'd be expelled. The article from boing-boing gave the phone numbers of the school, principal, and several other important education.

So I, being the bored college student with two hours to waste this morning in between classes, decided to call the principal of the high school. We talked for 4 minutes, and I reported my information back to Dustin (basically, nobody was threatened with expulsion, but students would not be allowed into the auditorium with pro-Kerry stuff on).

Dustin reported this back to boing-boing and several other links have gotten word of me calling the principal of this high school:

Thats stupid that they couldnt express who they were for. Thats what this country is founded on, free speech! Im sure that a lot of people go to Bush rallies wearing kerry stuff all the time!

Well, they could express who they were for, just not during the official rally (like when they'd be on t.v. and stuff). *shrug* I can understand both sides of it, though, because on one side, it's that whole freedom of speech thing, on the other side, it's just out of respect for someone, just like you wouldn't go to a black man's funeral in your KKK outfit.

What are you talking about? I go to the funerals of black people in my KKK garb all the time. But that might just be the difference between you and I.
