Now that I'm engaged, I've got a wedding to plan! But I don't want to subject people to wedding planning stuff if they don't care to read it. So, in order to prevent those that don't care about wedding news from killing me in my sleep, I'm going to create a wedding filter.

And now, the inevitable question:

When Dad asked me to come out to the house on Wednesday afternoon to stake out the waterfalls behind our house, I thought nothing of his request. We occasionally have teenagers that gather at the falls after school to drink or light fireworks. Dad told me on Monday that they had been down there lately, and requested that after my English class on Wednesday, I would come out and try to catch the kids between 3:00 and 3:15 p.m., when they're usually down there. Of course, I said "sure!"

So when I came out to my parent's house on Wednesday, I was all set to catch these neighborhood kids that were up to no good. I was wearing an old gray sweater (to blend in to the woods) and I grabbed my digital camera (to take pictures of the kids), and even put my cell phone on silent so if it rang, it wouldn't scare the kids away. I was set. Or so I thought.

When I pulled in my driveway, however, I found something much different than I expected:

I was at home today talking to my mom about various things, including Dustin's new job and Christin's new engagement. My mom said, "You know, since you and Dustin are planning on getting married, if you got married this summer, that would get you more financial aid at school and you'd be on his health insurance plan, because he'll probably have a great health plan with his new job."

I didn't know quite what to say in response to that.

Hello, my name is Elizabeth, and I am addicted to weddings.  Well, sorta.  I'm addicted to having my own wedding.  I think once I have one, I'll have to have another.  But it's all Dustin's fault, because he bought me The Complete Outdoor Wedding Planner book at Books-A-Million the other nite.  And then his sister and I chat about weddings...  *sigh*

So I just bought another three wedding books online from Amazon.  They're used, so they're cheap.  Two are published by The Knot, and one is by Peggy Post, on Wedding Etiquette- Cherished Traditions and Contemporary Ideas.

Yeah, I need to stop.  Because we're not even engaged, and it's not a sure thing, but I just love weddings so I can't help it.  And besides, it'll be fun to look at them and dream.  And then share them with Ashley and Christin.  ;-)
