Did anyone else think there was a connection between the Deathly Hallows and The Pardoner's Tale from Canterbury Tales? Of course it isn't a direct parallel or anything, but there are some similarities between the two stories. Three men, trying to cheat death, but end up dying in the end...

There were also a bunch of parallels between Hitler's rise to power and Voldemort's rise to power. And a couple of jabs at our current US administration and how we handle terrorists, suspected terrorists and fear.

It was never obviously revealed who the crying baby in the King's Cross scene was. I assume it's Voldemort, but it wasn't spelled out entirely in the book. In this HP and the Deathy Hallows wiki entry, it says that "A wounded and dying creature lies on the floor, representing Voldemort's damaged soul." Considering Harry kept looking at it, I expected JKR to state who it was, either through Harry asking Dumbledore or just out right stating it.

I loved how Kreacher turned around and became really nice to Harry and was determined to protect Harry. It was great to see him, and the other house-elves, show up at the Battle of Hogwarts and be willing to fight to the death. I also liked that Percy came back to join the fight, too. I cried when he showed up. But I pretty much cried when anything happened... damn PMS.

When Lupin asked Harry to be the Godfather when he came to Bill and Fleur's to announce Teddy's birth, I had a feeling that Lupin and Tonks would be killed and Harry would take the Godfather role like Sirius did with him. However, it wasn't explained WHO Teddy lived with. I assume it wasn't Harry, since Harry was only 17 at the time that Tonks and Lupin died and he became guardian, so who did he live with? Tonk's mother? The Weasleys?

Also, did Hermione ever go find to her parents and change their memories? Ron and Hermione have two kids- Rose and Hugo. Who are they named after, if anyone? Are those Hermione's parents names? I assume that Hermione repaired her parent's memories since they won the war against Voldemort, but it wasn't mentioned.

While I still think the epilogue was cheesy and I wanted a lot more information out of it, I can appreciate the full-circle aspect of it, since when Harry, Ron, and Hermione first started at Hogwarts, they experienced some of the same stuff- Ginny was begging to go to Hogwarts even though she was still too young, the brothers were teasing Ron about what house he'd be in, etc.
