For Christmas, my great aunt gave Dustin and I a wonderful present: she's going to paint us a picture of anything we want. She's an amazing artist who has a wide array of talents, so I'm really excited about this. My hope is that she can paint us a picture of the waterfalls that we'll use on our wedding invitations and programs. Even though she lives on the farm, she'll want some pictures of the falls so she knows what particular parts I want in the painting. I'm going to print out the pictures of the waterfalls that I've taken and posted here, plus a few more pictures, and then let her creative mind go to work! When we talked about the idea on Christmas, she even suggested that she could paint Dustin and I in the picture, with him down on one knee proposing. :-) How cool is that?











I have no idea how long it'll take her to paint it. She's 82 years old and doesn't work as fast as she used to, but her paintings are so beautiful, it's worth waiting awhile for the final product!
