Phone Posts
Feb. 24th, 2005 02:31 pmHi,
This is Dustin, the guy in the userpic.
Several folks can't hear phone posts. It's really easy, all you have to do is install a small piece of software called a codec, which will enable your computer to play the file.
You can get this software from http://tobias.everwicked.com/oggds.htm
Download and install the file. Then try and play a phone post. It will say something about not knowing how to open the file and it will want you to select the program to play the file with. Select your media player (most people use Windows media player) and vola, all done.
If you are on a Mac, you can install the Ogg Codec for Quicktime at http://www.illadvised.com/~jordy/ (Mac OS 10.2 and QuickTime 6.2 OR greater)
Alternatively, you could install WinAmp or MacAmp and not have to do any of the steps above.
;-)
