[wedding filter] Wedding dress pickup

Mom left me a note on the counter this morning saying that I need to call the wedding dress store, figure out when I need to give them the final payment and pickup the dress, and make an appointment for this weekend to go get the dress.

I have to make the final payment by Monday, May 22nd. That's next Monday. I'm glad I called today, then. So is Mom, who hassled me about it over the phone ("Elizabeth, what if I hadn't written that note for you? What if you waited until next week to call?").

Unfortunately, this weekend Dustin and I have to devoted to driving his truck and a UHaul trailor up to Tennessee, getting the last of his furniture, and hauling it back to Atlanta (as next weekend is Memorial day, which will be spent in Florida with his family, and his lease runs out next weekend anyhow).

That means no wedding dress appointment with my mom this weekend, unless she wants to meet me at the store on Friday afternoon, which would require her to take a few hours off of work. She has a meeting on Friday afternoon, so it looks like I'm going to pick up my wedding dress by myself, unless I can wrangle Christin into coming with me (scottique, where are you? I tried calling your cell phone but your voicemail message was automated) or someone else who wants to help me dress myself and point and laugh at me in a dress.

But this means that in a few short days, I'll have a wedding dress! And a groom! And a ceremony site! And nothing else planned for my wedding that's less than six months away! YES!

I'm trying to find a way to webcast it. Wireless internet definitely won't reach from my house to the falls, and a ethernet cable would have to be pretty long... there's a neighbor's house that's not too far away that we're going to use electricity from, maybe she has high speed internet access. ;-) I think it would be freakin' awesome to have it live on the internet for all the e-friends who obviously won't be able to make it!

Yes, but not until later. The dinner part of it doesn't start until 7:15, and that part isn't even at the aquarium. My afternoon is totally yours for the taking. :-)

I really wish you could come! Although in all honesty, I'd want you to come play during a time when I'd be able to spend more time hanging out with you. But Angie will be here and I'll definitely find some time to slip away from the wedding stuff and play with y'all, if you come!

isn't it insane just how much isn't done. no matter how much you do. ntohing has been done! mines like 4 months away and I feel like I haven't done shit! I take 2 things of to dos off the list and 5 things take its place!

If you need any help with wedding stuff, I've got nothing to do during the week as Chris is in Austin. I totally understand about not havign stuff done. There are still a few key things that I need to do but I just haven't had the time or energy to make the dozen half-hour long phone calls that need to be made. At least you can count on your mom to help.

My dress is ivory (the white was just *too* white) and my bridesmaids dresses will be a deep red/wine color. I need to go pick out some dresses soon!
