Raccoon commercial

About a month ago, one of my raccoons was filmed for a Georgia Lottery commercial. Here's the commercial, which just started airing last week!

Admittedly, the raccoon looks a little dumb (and there's another one off to the far right, which you can't see very well on the YouTube video), but whatever. It's still neat!

That's so cool!! I didn't interpret the raccoon as looking dumb -- more like doubled over from a belly laugh. How fun!

That's adorable!!

How did they find you? Did they make a donation to your rescue??

A wildlife rehabber who knew I had raccoons put me in touch with the animal talent scout.

I *should* be getting $400 for it, but it's a long, drawn out story - the animal talent scout said they mailed the check, but it's been deposited into another account (with another bank), so someone stole the check. They've filed a claim with their bank, and hopefully I'll hear something by the end of this week. If not, I'm going to request they write me another check while the fraudulent case continues, because I really need that $400 for rehab supplies. Their communication has been spotty (avoiding my e-mails/texts/phone calls for the THREE WEEKS between when the commercial was shot and when I finally called them from my work number - ie, doesn't show up as my name- and they picked up the phone), which makes it feel pretty sketchy. :-/

Whoah... what a story. :| And that IS sketchy. Hopefully they make it right with you.

In the meantime, the commercial is great! Love that little raccoon. ;)

Cute! Totally showing this to Kyle so he can squee over your raccoons :)

Hahaha, I totally wasn't expecting that. I'm surprised they needed a real raccoon instead of CGIing it.

I hope you get paid soon!

Oh, MAN, that was SO cute!!!

You'd better get paid, or I'm coming over there.

Thanks! I hope Kyle enjoyed it, too! :-)

Thanks! Yeah, I hope they make it right, too.

Oh, good! I'm glad she doesn't look that dumb. :-)

Yeah, it's weird because they CGIed the squirrel (obviously) and when the deer talks (it's a real deer, they just did the mouth), but it's weird they didn't just CGI the whole thing.

Thanks! I hope I get paid soon, too. We could really use the money!

Weird that they used CGI for some of the animals but not all (still cute, though)! I hope you get the money soon!

[identity profile] lizzie.livejournal.com 2012-05-03 12:11 pm (UTC)(link)
Yeah, you'd think they'd just CGI all of them!
